Birthday Beauty Freebies

So, I kind of cheated on my no buy because it was my birthday a couple weeks ago. I did end up spending a couple dollars on makeup. However, I thought it would be fun to share the awesome deals and free items I was able to get.

NYX– Engraved lip oil. Nyx gives you $5 for your birthday and currently, they have free engraving for Makeup Crew Members and had free shipping on their new products. I have heard amazing reviews on their lip oil, so I went ahead and ended up getting the lip oil for $1. However, when it arrived they hadn’t engraved it, but I was not entirely surprised given what I paid for it. I am really loving this lip oil though, it gives a nice hydrating shine to the lips with a slight tint of color.

Ulta– Lancome monsieur big mascara. Ulta also has a rewards program, offering a freebie on your birthday. You don’t need to buy anything, you can just go into their store anytime during the month of your birthday to collect you freebie. I went in expecting some eyeshadows they had advertised as the birthday present, but was pleasantly surprised to get a sample of this mascara. I haven’t tried it out yet because I am waiting to use up the mascaras I have open, but I am super excited to because I have heard amazing things.

Sephora– Drunk elephant Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser and Protini polypeptide cream. If you are a beauty insider, you can go into Sephora during your birth month and choose a birthday freebie. It was between the drunk elephant samples or kat von d. I have really wanted to try more drunk elephant, so I was super happy this was available as the birthday freebie.

TarteAmazonian clay 12-hour blush in “quirky” and lights, camera, lashes™ 4-in-1 mascara when you join Tarte Rewards. I do really like the blush so far and love the nice coral color. I was actually thinking about buying one of these blushes anyway, so I couldn’t resist this freebie. Once again, I am waiting to open the mascara though.

The Body Shop– On your birthday, the body shop credits $10 to your account.  Since they have 40% off on tons of items, I did order a few things, the Make Up Setting Spray and Coconut Oil Hair Shine. You do have to spend at least a dollar, so I got the Mediterranean Almond Milk with Oats Instant Soothing Mask packet and spent a total of $1.82 (with free shipping). The mist is super fine and I am really liking it. I haven’t tried the other two items yet, but they do smell delicious.

So Post– Essie Nail Polish in “Say it ain’t soho”. The last thing wasn’t a special birthday freebie, but I just wanted to mention this nail polish that arrived right around my birthday. I often get free samples from So post, which posts sample links on facebook and instagram, but I was so surprised when I received this full size nail polish! There are a few other places I am able to score free full sized products and I am planning on doing a full post about these when I am able to round up some of the things I received. I don’t currently see any offers by SoPost online, but I will try to post the next time I do.

    1. The ones I’ve posted (and many other websites for makeup brands) have free rewards programs that you can sign up for. Then, you just have to put in your birthday and they will send you a promotion code on the month of your birthday.
