I signed up for Boxycharm at the end up last month and am so excited because I just received my first box for the month of June yesterday! I am really into watching unboxing videos, especially Alexandria Ryan’s videos and based on all of her unboxings, BoxyCharm definitely appears to give the best value for money of all the beauty subscription boxes. So, without further ado, let’s get into the unboxing.
About BoxyCharm: $21 per month (with free shipping) subscription box that includes 4-5 full size makeup and skincare items with a value of at least $100. They also have a subscription called boxyluxe, where you get a super box every 3 months with items worth $250 and in addition to the $21, every three months you pay an extra $28.99. I don’t think I will be signing up for the boxyluxe anytime soon cause this is a bit out of my price range.
Each box comes with a little information card with the theme of the month on the front and a description of each item and their price on the back. This month, the theme is Getaway, so I guess the items in the box will be based on the idea of going on vacation.
The first item in the box is the Touch in Sol No Poreblem Prime Essence $23. I have been wanting to try the regular No Poreblem primer that they have, but this is a new primer that they have which is supposed to deliver everything I want. It says that it shrinks the look of pores while smoothing skin texture and giving a dewy finish.
Skin & Co Roma Whipped Cleansing Cream $35. I have never heard of this brand, but I am always excited to try out a new cleanser. I definitely wouldn’t have picked this up myself due to the price of this cleanser, especially because you only get 3.38 ounces. However, this has very good reviews and sounds very fancy. I can definitely smell it without even opening it up and am not a fan, it just smells heavily perfumed. But I’ll use it up although just based off the smell and price I know I wouldn’t repurchase this in the future.
Set of three Haruharu Wonder Maqui Berry Anti-Oxidant Sheet Masks $9. These say that they are 95% natural and made of 100% cotton. They say they are anti-aging however, I typically use sheet masks for hydration or anti-acne benefits. I don’t think there could be much of an anti-aging effect unless they are used consistently. Nevertheless, I am always excited to try out a new sheet mask.
Dominique Cosmetics Lemonade Lip Gloss in Sweet Tea $17. I love everything about this lip gloss. The packaging is adorable, the scent is like cake, the color of this gloss is a nice nude for me and it is long-lasting, moisturizing and not sticky. Out of everything in the box, so far this is my favorite.
Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow Cheek Palette 3 $45. I have only been able to find this palette on the BoxyCharm website, so I think this may be something you can only buy through them. However, I do like this more than similar Tarte Pro Glow palettes online because it is a perfect all-in-one palette with options. The similar palettes are mainly blush or highlight. Tarte seems to be a somewhat controversial brand, but overall I love their makeup and am super excited about this product.
The total value of this box came out to be $129, so it is definitely good value and I know I will use everything that came in it. I will also update you in a future empties post on my further thoughts on these products. Thank you so much for reading! If you have any of these products I would love it if you shared your thoughts down in the comment section and if you are subscribed to boxycharm, I really want to know what you received in your box that was different!
Thanks for reading!
